CONFIRMED: Duo leave Chelsea as Asmir Begovic joins Bournemouth and Dominic Solanke signs for Liverpool
Goalkeeper Asmir Begovic and forward Dominic Solanke have left Chelsea to sign for Bournemouth and Liverpool respectively, the Premier League clubs have confirmed.
Begovic, 29, will officially arrive at the Vitality Stadium on July 1 and has signed a long-term deal for the south coast club. He made 33 appearances for the Blues during a two-year stay at Stamford Bridge, and has been sold for a reported £10 million fee.
He said: "Being part of a title-winning team at Chelsea was amazing but I felt now was the right time to move on because I want to be playing regular football.
"I am coming into an important part of my career and I want to show people what I am capable of.
"When I spoke to Eddie Howe I knew AFC Bournemouth was the right club for me and I want to bring my experience to the squad, both on and off the pitch.
"I'm really excited to be part of the journey here and hope I can help take the club to another level."
Solanke leaves west London at the expiration of his contract, having failed to agree a new deal with Chelsea.
The academy graduate, 19, will also officially transfer on July 1, and a tribunal will be held to determine the fee the Reds must pay for the England youth international.
