justin bieber turns down performing at a donald trump convention event

It’s been reported that Justin Bieber turned down an offer to perform at an event funded by some wealthy Donald Trumpdonors.
Biebs apparently turned down $5million (£3.8million) to perform at the concert after his manager, Scooter Braun, considered quitting over it.
According to TMZ, the singer was offered the cash to perform at the event close to where the Republican National Convention was taking place in Cleveland, with donors asking for 45 minutes of Bieber’s time.
Sources told the site that a promoter assured the CAA, the talent agency representing Bieber, that the event was 'not a political one', and that he 'wouldn’t be endorsing Donald Trump' if he performed.
However, it’s reported that Scooter and the CAA felt the event would be ‘100 per cent political’, with the manager believing that the party were using the singer ‘as a tool’.
Scooter allegedly told Justin that, ‘out of principle’, he ‘couldne’t continue to represent the singer’ if he said yes to the gig, with reps for LeBron James, who also denied that he would be attending in Cleveland, also reportedly ‘urging’ Biebs not to go - and it seems he took their advice.
